Grades & Academic Information

Grades and academic information serve as a record of completed student work during a student's academic career. Students can access grades and academic information through their Student Center and view their grades from any term, track their academic progress, generate an enrollment verification, request a transcript, and check placement test scores.

 

 


Grades

  1. Login to the Student Center
  2. In the Academics section drop-down box, select Grades
  3. Click the Go button (double arrow) to load class grades for the current term
  4. Click the change term button to view grades for a different term

 

 


Degree Progress Report

The Degree Progress Report provides students with a snapshot of how their completed courses satisfy General Education, University, and Major graduation requirements.

  1. Login to the Student Center
  2. In the Academics section drop-down box, select Academic Requirements
  3. Click the Go button (double arrow)
  4. The resulting Degree Progress Report will have 8 sections:
    Note: If there are more than ten items in any section, click View All to see additional items
    • Current Academic Objective - Lists Career, Program, Plan (major), Catalog Term, and Graduate Application Status
    • Current Academic Summary - Lists the Last Term Registered, Current Academic Standing, and Overall and SF State GPA
    • General Information - Includes general items pertaining to graduation requirements
    • General Education Requirements - Lists specific student requirement information (use arrows to expand and collapse sections). The Requirement Designation column indicates transfer items that fulfill requirements
    • University (Wide) Requirements - Lists requirements mandated for all SF State students including courses and GPA
    • Minimum Units Required for Degree - Includes courses applicable toward minimum units required for completion of degree
    • Major Requirements - Includes information pertaining a declared major
      Note: This section may be incomplete until the Student Center project is fully implemented
    • Additional Course Information - Includes coursework not applicable to any other report section
  5. Optional: Select the Print Report link to produce a printer-friendly copy of the report
  6. Select the Advisor Notes link to view messages that have been added by an academic advisor
  7. Select Student Center from the go to ... drop-down box and click the Go button (double arrow) to return to the Student Center

 


Enrollment Verification

  1. Login to the Student Center
  2. In the Academics section drop-down box, select Enrollment Verification
  3. Click the Go button (double arrow)
  4. When asked to select processing options, select Allow to Print from My Browser from the first drop-down box
  5. Mark the check boxes for the academic information that should be included in the report
  6. Select the term that should be included in the report or leave blank for all terms
  7. Click the SUBMIT button to generate the enrollment verification
  8. To print the results, click PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION and print or save to a file

 


Transcripts

View Unofficial Transcrips - Current Students

  1. Login to the Student Center
  2. Select the My Academics link (left side)
  3. Select View My Unofficial Transcript

View Unofficial Transcripts - Former Students (1986-2013)

  1. Login to the SF State Gateway
  2. Select the Academics link (left side) in the STUDENT section
  3. Click the Unofficial link in the Academic Progress section

Note: Students who graduated after 2013 but no longer have Student Center access should see the Registrar Office's official Transcripts page.

Order Official Transcripts (after 1986)

  1. Login to the SF State Gateway
  2. Select the Academics link (left side) in the STUDENT section
  3. Click the Request Transcript button in the Official Transcript Request section and follow the instructions for ordering and payment

    Test Scores

    1. Login to the SF State Gateway
    2. Select the Academics link (left side) in the STUDENT section
    3. To view a test score report, click the Test Score Report link in the Academic Progress section
